Where do I start when talking about Shannon and Brett’s epic wedding! We got to spend 13 amazing hours with these two and the other 21 people in their wedding party! When we first met them at our favorite local Irish pub, Hagens, we knew it was going to be a blast being a part of their big day! See photos from their big day HERE.
Shannon and Brett met how a lot of people meet these days…online dating. But they probably bumped into each other several times before they caught one another’s eye online. Not only did they have many mutual friends, worked in the same building, and went to the same parties but Shannon even sat next to Brett’s brother in the office! And yet no one never introduced them to each other. While Shannon was out one night with a couple of her best friends, they decided to take her phone and pretend to be her on an online dating app. They knew Brett, so they talked with him the entire night on the app pretending to be Shannon. Brett had no idea until the next morning when Shannon realized the conversation had actually happened, felt awful, and apologized to Brett. They decided to still meet up, so she picked her favorite Irish Pub, Mulligans, and decided to meet on Ash Wednesday that week. Shannon knew she was in trouble when a text from Brett made her laugh before she even got to Mulligans, and THEN to her surprise – he showed up with matching ashes. After a happy hour filled with laughter, drinks, and so many signs this wouldn’t be their last date, the rest is history…
After much planning, and some amazing help from the incredible Cyndi with Signature Weddings and Events, the big day was finally here. And boy did it live up to all that work! The ceremony was at the always stunning Corpus Christi Catholic Church where Shannon and Brett attend. After some photos around the church the entire 23 wedding party members loaded a party bus full of Chick-fil-A to head over to cute little downtown Celebration. Somehow we even managed to fit all of them in a line and walk down the market light lined street! Because Shannon and Brett got engaged at Bohemian Hotel in Celebration we also made our way over there for a few photos. But before we could head back to Gaylord Palms for a fun night of dancing with music provided by Event Concepts, we had to make a stop at the Irish pub Mulligans, where they had their first date! With all the wedding party taking over the bar counter they all had a shot together to celebrate. Because Brett is a huge wrestling fan each couple entered as if they were contestants on Wrestle Mania! The evening went on with loads of dancing, laughing, hilarious speeches, Irish dancing, food, food and more food. Congratulations to a couple who couldn’t be more made for one another!
