How They Met

Matt and Amanda met at her best friend’s birthday party.  This best friend also happened to be Matt’s cousin.  Amanda caught Matt’s eye right away and soon asked for her number.  It didn’t take long before they became inseparable!  Their connection was instant and Matt could care less that Amanda was in a wheelchair.  All you have to do is look at the loved that radiates when he looks at her to know they are soul mates.

The Proposal

In November 2017, Amanda was set to handcycle in her first 10k from Magic Kingdom to Epcot and it began at 5:30am. Knowing how much Matt hates getting up early, Amanda told him “It’s really OK, you don’t have to come.” But when she crossed the finish line he was there with flowers and she was shocked!  Then she noticed her family, his family and her best friends were all there!  In awe at the sight of everyone, she was even more stunned when Matt got on one knee and proposed!!

The Wedding

They couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for their beach wedding.  With friends and family coming from all over they figured the coast was a perfect location to celebrate.  Tropical flowers and accents decorated the ceremony and reception making the mood bright, vibrant and fun.  There were lots of pink and green throughout!  With Amanda’s last name being Perla there were a lot of pearl accents also added in.  For their first dance they started with Amanda in her wheelchair but then Matt picked her up and she stood and danced with her new husband.  It was such a sweet and touching moment!  For the rest of the night everyone danced the night away.  Congratulations to both of you!!
