So excited to share with you Emily and Alan’s beautiful summer wedding video. You might remember their awesome engagement session where Alan first wore his Police Uniform and then changed into his Military uniform for some epic photos HERE and their beautiful wedding HERE. Alan shed the uniforms for the wedding day and stuck with a tux but he did don his dog tags under his shirt and Winchester bullet shells on his boutonniere. But more details in a moment…
These two met while playing volleyball with friends in college. He asked her out after the game, they went on their first date the next day, and the date never ended. For the last 4 years they have spent almost all their time together (other then when he has been away for military training). They had one epic proposal that lasted a whole month and a half long! For Emily’s 21st birthday Alan told her the present was 21 dates. On each date he proved to her hose much he listens, cares and love her. On the final date he proposed to her on top of the Orlando Eye at sunset.
The entire wedding was a celebration of Emily and Alan. So many personal details to make it special to them. All of his groomsmen had dog tags and a hidden star under their ties with “deputy groomsman” on it. Their gift was a personalized steel flask they filled with their favorite alcohol before the ceremony. Emily surprised Alan with a Nerf gun garter and then attacked him with a bigger Nerf gun after he took it off. The bridesmaids wore cowgirl boots and each had a chalkboard with how they know Emily. Emily wore handprinted shoes with Tangled theme on them and even had a Disney umbrella with different characters on it.
The reception was filled with many special touches. Each guest had a piece of wood with their name on it and instead of a guest book the guests signed a wooden heart and placed it in a glass frame. During cocktail hour the tables had glass candles with pictures of the two of them throughout. At each table was a cute container of heart shaped seeds for the guests to go home and plant, grow, and remember the day by. On the cake were the words to Ed Sheehan’s song “Thinking out loud.” The even danced to that song on their first dance on a “cloud” provided by the ladies at Our DJ Rocks. It was breathtaking! And boy did this group know how to PARTY! There was so much dancing their 5 hour reception went by in a flash!
But my favorite part of the wedding day with the flower girl and the ring bearer, Emily’s grandparents. They were seriously the cutest!!!
