We first met Faith many years ago when she babysat for us for several years while she was in school for occupational therapy. In that time we remember her coming over one day to watch the kids while we went off to a wedding and telling us about this boy she met at college who was in school for nursing. She was quite smitten with him and Sean loved his name so much that first day he nicknamed him “burns.” That name stuck around our house and each time Faith would show up he would ask “well hows Burns?” We heard all the fun details from the first date to all the fun things they did once they were officially dating. So when Faith called to tell us Bernie asked her to marry him we couldn’t be more excited! The bonus when she asked us to be apart of the day by photographing it and spending the whole day with them!
Faith and Bernie fell in love with Cypress Grove Estate House the minute they drove down the tree lined street and came upon the old plantation home. What sealed the deal was how the gazebo overlooked the lake and the market lights above the reception area. It was the perfect location for their dream wedding! When Faith went dress shopping she loved the blush Allure dress from Lily’s Bridal but didn’t love the satin skirt. She found a seamstress to change the bottom to make it more of a “Faith style” and then it was perfect! Bernie and the guys chose grey suits with fun socks to match each of their personalities. Shannon with Faces by Shannon did an amazing job with Faith’s hair and makeup. Her undo was like it was designed to match the style of her dress! Their ceremony was at sunset and after the ceremony was finished we quickly ran down by the lake as the sunset was like God had painted a masterpiece for them. As we were finishing up with photos the sunset kept getting more and more magical and ended with the most brilliant colorful display! It was time then for their party and Pedro did an awesome job of getting everyone on the dance floor to dance the night away! Before we left we had a sparkler exit with their wedding party and close family. Congratulations to you crazy kids. We had such a blast an it was a true honor to be a part of your day!!
