This is a love story involving a Canadian girl and real life prince charming. What started as a chance meeting while she was visiting her Florida relatives soon began a much longer story. Julie come down to visit relatives one summer and Malachi took notice of this sweet girl on fire for the Lord. Her passion and love spilled out as she shared with children while volunteering at the local church’s vacation bible school. Malachi knew there was something unique and special about this Canadian and he asked her out on a date. Even through his interrogation style of conversation, she was kind and gracious, answering all of his questions with a gentle spirit, attentively listening to his story. In order to date her Malachi wanted to ask her dad in person. That required some planning as there is quite some distance between Florida and Canada. But he made it happened and even through his shaking he officially asked her dad for his permission to court his daughter. Through a long distance relationship they grew closer and closer. Malachi even braved two Christmas’s in Canadian snow!
The engagement story is even more special. Malachi crafted a personalized love story superimposing their faces into it. At the end of the book the engagement ring was the “O” in the words “Just a stone’s throw away”. Getting down on a knee, He asked if Julie would make his wish come true, and be his wife. Of course….she said yes!
There wedding day was no less special. The day was filled with stories of family and friends sharing fun adventures shared by the two and their passionate love of Christ. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida near Disney world was the perfect location for the wedding. With so many family members visiting from out of town it was right near all the attractions. Although it was a very cold day for Florida they still had a beautiful outdoor wedding right by the water. Just Marry Events helped coordinate and make sure everything ran smoothly and Doug Price did a beautiful ceremony uniting these two before the Lord.
