How They Met
Nicole and Tom grew up several states apart. It was a chance software engineering internship with Microsoft that brought these two video game enthusiasts together. They first met at a Memorial Day BBQ. They locked eyes at the end of the party when a friend passed by and asked Nicole if she was going to the intern video game meet up that summer. It was then they bonded over their shared interest in the video game League of Legends. When Tom kindly drove Nicole home from one of the meet ups she told him she would pay him for the ride with lunch the next day. From that day on the rest is history.
The Wedding
Nicole and Tom wanted a Florida wedding in the warmth of our October sun, rather than in Seattle where they now reside. With the help of Cyndi with Signature Weddings the perfect wedding day was planned. Gaylord was a perfect match for Nicole because the plants and greenery inside remind her of her late mom’s love for flowers. Lee Forrest added to the already beautiful backdrop of Gaylord with amazing floral creations. Their ceremony was in the atrium surrounded by all their family and friends (and hotel guest onlookers in awe of the beautiful wedding). Nicole’s dad serenaded everyone before the ceremony began when a 7 piece orchestra from Beautiful Music. Kevin Knox performed a touching ceremony included a hand tying ceremony. With touches of Disney in the songs, floral and papery to note their love of Disney and where he proposed. Of course they had to include a nod to the mutual interest in video games with the cake topper being Mario and Peach amiibos!
After some fun photos with the newlyweds we headed into the beautiful ballroom at Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida to get the party started. Guests were treated to the crazy talented Ricky Silvia from The Buzzcatz for the rest of the evening and the dance floor was never empty! It was such a fun reception full of so much joy and laughter! Congratulations to both of you and we wish you all the best!!
